Unit 1: Earth Science
In this unit, students will discover how earth’s constructive and destructive forces change and create surface features. Geological phenomenon and examples worldwide will be explored, but there will be many fun, interactive, and relevant opportunities for students to apply their knowledge and understanding of these processes to local and Georgia landforms.
Schedule
Each Science period has 40 minutes allotted for instruction. These times are approximates and may be changed throughout the year.
5 mins.: Activating Strategy- this is the opening for the lesson, hook for a lesson, or review from previously taught concepts.
30 mins.: Lesson, Group Project, or Lab-students will be provided with a notes page for every lesson and it will be filled out during class. This is a great tool to study before tests!
5 mins.: Summarizing Strategy-This is a wrap up of the class period. We review concepts learned during the class period.
